Profile

This individual is a highly organised and skilled candidate who has worked within the payroll and finance environment for over 20 years.

They have the ability to work to strict deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.

They also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to work as part of a team or on their own initiative.

Candidate Skills

Working either on their own or as part of a team to ensure the accurate and timely payment of staff (ranging from 150 employees for an SME to 6500 local authority employees)

Full responsibility for the provision, preparation and payment of staff salaries and expenses

Advising staff on payroll requirements, entitlements, payments, procedures, deduction of benefits and any other relevant matters

Ensuring the integrity, accuracy and audit compliance of the payroll service

Managing and ensuring the payment of all payroll deductions to the relevant third parties

Applying and monitoring Auto Enrolment and implementing RTI uploads/downloads

Posting payroll costing into the nominal ledger and reconciling the payroll holding accounts

Managing/assisting with the production and distribution of end-of-year, budget and accounts information for all payroll matters

Keeping up-to-date knowledge with relevant payroll and statutory change

Summary:

This candidate is immediately available and comes with a wealth of payroll experience.  They are ideally looking for a role that offers hybrid working set up, and a salary of at least £35,000.
